Subreddits you may also enjoy. I have searched high and low for this info but am still quite confused as to my options.

I have a 2008 Fit (DX) that did not come with a front license bracket or pre-drilled holes in the bumper (purchased used). I've just moved to a province that requires a front plate and am not sure what I should purchase or how to install it. Please forgive my ignorance of proper terminology! From searching this sub, I found a recommendation for the part:.

I cannot, however, find any info on installing this part and whether I will need to drill holes in my bumper or whether it will simply attach to the two screw/clamp things built in under my bumper. From what I can tell this will run me at least $70 CDN (I have contacted a local dealer who said he can get me the part for around $80). All the sites I have found online with better pricing do not ship to CA. Is there any other (ideally economical) option to affix a front plate without drilling holes in my car? I hope to have this car for some time and will not always require a front plate in future. I have read about OEM brackets and JDM style brackets but it's been pretty unclear and my understanding is that these options would also require drilling.

Thank you so much for any assistance or advice you could provide. I really appreciate it as I am a bit lost at present! If your car has a front tow hook cover in the bumper cover plastic (I think your car should have one on the passenger side), there are license plate bracket kits that utilize that hole to mount your place.

They aren't the cheapest, but (the Fit) is currently on sale on amazon (USA anyways). I hope this helps. I was in the same position where I ended up having to drill the bumper cover since Honda made my civic have a rectangular bulge in that area that looked better covered. Cheers on your Fit! They're quite fun.

Actually the fit does have licence palte holes. It actually mounts under the bumper in the bumper cutout. If u bend down, u will see 2 bolts, or 2 holes where the bolts should go w/ a metal bracket to keep the screw tight.
