HI there, there is only one possible way to use themes on your iPhone. To use themes/custom icons the phone must be 'jailbroken' which is a complicated process which edits the Phones firmware to allowed Homebrew/Hacked applications to run on the phone. Once done, there are all the functionalities of the original phone software with the additions of being able to directly download hacked/homebrew apps to the phone. If you are using a mac/Win PC you can now jailbreak the latest version of iPhone firmware using a downloadable program called the Pwnage tool created by the iPhone Dev Team.
